After five years of active business on the internet, we are seeking to expand our client base beyond the Western markets, to include the Japanese domestic market, along with the large foreign community and those visiting Japan.
Located five minutes from the Kyoto Hotel (now the Kyoto Okura Hotel), the gallery is right off the main shopping promenade Teramachi-dori, across from the famous old Japanese paper store, Kyukyodo. We are also about a block away from the famous Japanese Inn, Tawara-ya. The main gallery will be on the first floor, while the second floor may be utilized for special temporary exhibitions. The gallery will offer a variety of Japanese arts, with our speciality being domestic market ceramics, with a large collection of Imari porcelains. We also offer a good selection of Japanese tea ceremony ceramics, and folk ceramics. We encourage anyone visiting to please contact us in advance to confirm that we will be available for your visit. While we will eventually have regular business hours, it is best to confirm in advance so that we can arrange to be there for your visit.
